GIVE A HELPING
HAND TO THOSE
WHO NEED IT!
In 1994, on a visit to Vijayawada, Carol Faison met Noel Harper, then Director of the Catholic Social Service Centre. They joined hands to reach out not only to children in orphanages, but also to children on the streets, those hanging about the railway station, in the slums, the rural poor and children with mental and physical disabilities.
In 1997 they registered their charity as Care & Share Charitable Trust in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, with Registration No: 242/1997. The Trust is registered with the Income Tax Authorities and has obtained 12A and 80G certification. Today we run a Distance Adoption Programme, two Children’s Villages, a Sishu Gruha, homes for HIV+ children and literacy centres across the city.

HELPING
HAND
How you can help a child: support the Distance Adoption Programme, help make our Home a better place, or provide for the future through our Corpus Fund. Every contribution becomes shelter, education and care.
Annual contributions can be made annually, quarterly or monthly.
SUCCESS STORIES:
Support a child with our Distance Adoption Programme. Your contribution covers shelter, food and care if the child is in our Home, as well as education and school or college fees.
"Distance Adoption Programme
We run two Children’s Villages – Daddy’s Home and Butterfly Hill – where around 250 children live, learn and grow in a safe family environment.
"Our Children’s Villages
Our Sishu Gruha is a home for abandoned babies, where we work with the Government to help them find loving families in India and abroad.
"Babies’ Home – Sishu Gruha
We also run literacy centres and schools in urban deprived areas, and support women’s self-help groups in the communities we serve.
